So Ive been really into 80's disco electro recently. Ive found some pretty good stuff at a few different sites. Most of these songs will make you feel like you are living in GTA Vice City driving around in your recently stolen Cheetah. "IM HOT TONIGHT!", not quite. Coming from the UK with a sound that bares comparisson to every sick nasty soundtrack for any primo 80's flick, Futurecop! brings it hard.


I had heard of them a few months ago on HRO or something of the like. I heard the song "1-800 Dial NY" and enjoyed it but figured that would be all I would hear. I recently came across two other songs that are absolutely worth listening to.

Russ Chimes




















Its nice to see some bands that arent from France because nothing is more trendy than diversity. Hailing from the UK, Russ Chimes sounds like the 80's, but instead of a smooth synth overlay with a sick 4/4 tom beat, its 6 layers of synths mashed up with nineteen beat layers all coming at you like a psychidelic acid highway of funk. That may seem unbelievable but i am no liar sir.
